The Full Process, Step by Step
Browse Packages & Book Online
Start in our online shop, where packages are grouped by service type — PPF, window tint, ceramic coating, undercoating, and bed liners. Each package lists what's included, the coverage area, and the price, so you can compare before you commit.
During checkout, you'll pick your preferred installation date and time, and select which of our two Calgary locations works best — Chinook (south Calgary, near Macleod Trail) or Deerfoot City (north Calgary, near Deerfoot Trail and 96 Ave NE).
Not sure which package fits your situation? Use the contact page or give us a call — we're happy to recommend based on your vehicle, how you use it, and what you're protecting against.
Tip: For full PPF wraps or combination packages (PPF + ceramic, for example), we'll email you any pre-appointment steps after you book — like washing the vehicle the morning before.
Drop Off & Vehicle Walkthrough
When you arrive, a technician will walk the exterior of your vehicle with you before it goes into the shop. This is standard practice for every service — we note any pre-existing scratches, chips, or damage so there's full transparency about the vehicle's condition before we touch it.
We'll also confirm the scope of work — which panels are being covered, what tint shade you've chosen, or which areas are included in the package — so we're aligned on exactly what you're expecting.
Before you arrive:
- Wash your vehicle the day before or morning of (we'll decontaminate in-shop, but starting clean helps)
- Remove personal items from the interior for tint or interior work
- Remove roof racks or accessories that could interfere with work areas
- Have your contact number ready — we'll text or call if anything unexpected comes up during the install
Installation by Certified Technicians
Every install is done by trained, certified technicians — not apprentices. Calgary PPF is a 3M-authorized installer, meaning our team meets 3M's certification requirements for both PPF and window tinting. Our bed liner technicians are certified by Line-X USA. We're also AMVIC licensed, regulated by Alberta's Motor Vehicle Industry Council.
The environment matters too. PPF and ceramic coating are applied in a controlled, climate-regulated bay to prevent dust contamination and ensure proper curing. This is a key difference between a professional installer and a budget shop — or a DIY attempt.
PPF Install Times
Partial front kit: 3–5 hrs. Full front: 5–8 hrs. Full vehicle wrap: 1–2 days. Overnight vehicles are kept in our locked, secured facility.
Window Tint Times
Full car tint: 2–3 hrs. Windshield tint adds ~1 hr. Most tint installs are completed same day.
Ceramic Coating Times
Paint prep + application typically takes a full day. Vehicle may stay overnight for initial cure before pickup.
Undercoating Times
Undercarriage spray: half-day. Full package with cavity injection: full day.
Quality Check & Pickup
Before we call you to pick up, your installation is reviewed internally. We check for lifting edges, contamination under the film, uneven tint lines, or any imperfection that shouldn't pass our standard. If anything is off, we fix it before you arrive — not after you notice it.
At pickup, we walk you through what was done and go over aftercare instructions. These aren't just formalities — they genuinely affect the longevity of your install. For PPF, there's a 7-day curing window where the adhesive is still setting. For window tint, leave windows up for 3–5 days. We'll make sure you know what to do and what to avoid.
Post-installation follow-up is included at no cost. If you notice something unusual in the first few weeks — a bubble that isn't resolving, an edge that seems to be lifting — contact us and we'll assess it.
Long-Term Warranty Coverage
All our 3M PPF and tinting installations are backed by 3M Canada's warranty, valid throughout North America. Our installation quality is separately warranted for up to 10 years. Line-X bed liners carry Line-X's own manufacturer warranty.
We've been in business for 17+ years in Calgary — we're not going anywhere, and we stand behind our work.

Common Questions About Our Process
Can I wait at the shop while my car is being worked on?
For shorter installs (tint, partial PPF kits), some customers prefer to wait — we have a waiting area. For longer installs (full PPF, ceramic coating), most arrange a ride and plan to pick up later in the day or next morning.
Do I need to wash my car before dropping it off?
Yes — please wash your vehicle before your appointment, ideally the day before or morning of. We do a full surface decontamination in-shop, but starting clean reduces prep time and leads to better results. This is especially important for PPF and ceramic coating.
What if I need to reschedule?
Contact us as early as possible and we'll move your appointment. We book out in advance — especially for full vehicle PPF wraps — so earlier notice helps us fill the slot and get you rebooked sooner.
What if there's an issue after I pick up?
Contact us. Small bubbles in fresh PPF are normal and self-resolve during the curing period. Anything that doesn't resolve within 2–4 weeks, or looks like an installation issue, bring it back and we'll assess it — this is part of the service, not a separate call.
Is my vehicle safe overnight at your facility?
Yes. Our facilities are secured and monitored. Vehicles staying overnight for larger installs are kept in our locked, covered shop — not in an outdoor lot.
