PPF vs. Dealership Ceramic Sealant
Many dealerships push a “paint sealant” or “ceramic protection” product at delivery for $700–$1,500. These products provide minimal physical protection and offer no defence against rock chips — they’re essentially glorified wax.

New Car PPF — What to Expect

We recommend waiting 30 days after delivery before PPF installation if the vehicle has had any paint touch-ups at the dealer. Fresh touch-up paint needs time to fully cure before film adhesive is applied.
After installation, avoid high-pressure car washes for 7 days to let the film adhesive fully cure. Gentle hand washing is fine from day one.
