PPF + CERAMIC COATING CALGARY

The Ultimate Paint Protection Stack

Paint protection film and ceramic coating are the two most effective paint protection products available — and they work best together. PPF provides physical barrier protection against rock chips and stone damage. Ceramic coating provides chemical resistance, UV protection, and a hydrophobic layer that keeps your car cleaner between washes.

When installed in the right order (PPF first, then ceramic coating on top of the film and unprotected panels), you get both forms of protection working simultaneously. The ceramic coating bonds to the film surface — extending the film’s hydrophobic properties and making maintenance significantly easier.

Why Combine PPF with Ceramic Coating?

Physical + Chemical Protection — PPF stops rock chips and physical impacts. Ceramic coating stops chemical etching from bird droppings, tree sap, industrial fallout, and UV oxidation. Together, they address 99% of paint threats.

Enhanced Hydrophobic Performance — Ceramic coating on top of PPF creates a water-beading surface that self-cleans with rain. Road grime releases with minimal effort at the car wash.

Better Gloss — Ceramic coating amplifies the depth and gloss of your paint colour. On top of PPF, it creates a wet-look finish that doesn’t fade.

Easier Long-Term Maintenance — Ceramic-coated PPF requires less frequent washing and is less susceptible to water spots, brake dust staining, and road film buildup.

Installation Order Matters

PPF must always go on first — ceramic coating is applied on top of the film and on unprotected panels. Never apply ceramic coating to bare paint before PPF installation: the ceramic coating prevents the PPF adhesive from bonding properly to the paint.

We offer package pricing when both services are booked together — you save compared to booking them separately, and we can sequence the installation in a single shop visit rather than two separate appointments.

The Combo Installation Process

Combo installations begin with full paint decontamination and paint correction if needed. PPF is installed first and allowed to cure (typically 24 hours). Ceramic coating is then applied to the PPF surface and all remaining panels in the same visit or the following day.

Total installation time for the Essential Combo (partial front PPF + ceramic) is typically 2 days. Full body combos take 4–5 days. We’ll provide a firm timeline during your consultation.

After installation, the ceramic coating requires 7 days of no water exposure for full cure. We’ll provide full care instructions and a maintenance guide at pickup.
