It’s a true PPF product. 3M Colour Wrap PPF uses the same polyurethane substrate as their clear PPF films—not a vinyl PVC construction. This means it has the impact absorption, self-healing top coat, and repositionable PPF adhesive that vinyl simply cannot replicate.
How long does the installation take?
Most small to midsize vehicles (sedans, crossovers, smaller SUVs) take 4–6 business days. Large trucks, full-size SUVs, and vehicles with complex bodywork take 5–7 days. We work in a climate-controlled indoor bay and don’t rush installation—proper edge wrapping and panel alignment takes time to do correctly.
What does the 10-year warranty cover?
The 3M manufacturer warranty covers delamination, bubbling, yellowing, cracking, and peeling under normal use. It’s backed directly by 3M Canada—not just our shop—so if we ever closed tomorrow, your warranty would still be valid. It does not cover physical damage like deep cuts or improper washing (e.g., automatic brush car washes).
Can the film be removed later without damaging paint?
Yes. 3M Colour Wrap PPF uses a pressure-sensitive PPF adhesive that releases cleanly from factory paint and most quality repaint jobs. We recommend professional removal to ensure no adhesive residue is left behind. Most customers who remove their Colour PPF find their original paint is in better condition underneath than comparable unprotected vehicles of the same age.
How does Colour PPF hold up in Calgary winters?
