Corvette & Camaro Paint Protection Film Calgary
Track-ready PPF for C8 Corvette and Camaro. Protect Arctic White, Rapid Blue, and Vivid Orange from chips, scratches, and track debris.
Why Sports Cars Need PPF More Than Most
The Chevrolet Corvette and Camaro sit lower to the road than virtually any other vehicle in their class — and that proximity to the pavement means they are in the direct path of every stone, chip of asphalt, and piece of road debris kicked up by traffic ahead. The C8 Corvette’s mid-engine layout puts the nose extremely low and exposed, with very little ground clearance between the front splitter and the road surface.
On Calgary roads — which are among the most chip-intensive in Canada due to the volume of gravel used for winter traction — an unprotected sports car can accumulate visible stone chip damage in a single season. For a vehicle you invested $80,000 to $120,000 or more into, that is not acceptable.
Calgary PPF installs film specifically configured for sports car front ends, including the tricky nose pieces, splitters, and side sills that require hand-wrapped relief cuts rather than bulk film trimming.
C8 Corvette PPF
- Front Splitter and Nose — The most vulnerable area on any C8. The splitter sits inches off the ground. We use a thicker mil film for this surface to handle scrape impacts.
- Full Hood and Front Clip — The C8 hood is a large, flat, exposed surface. Rock chips are highly visible on colours like Arctic White, Rapid Blue, and Accelerate Yellow.
- Rocker Panels — The C8’s side sills are wide and low. Rocker panel film protects from door dings in parking lots and debris spray on the highway.
- Headlight Tint with PPF — Protective film on the headlight lenses to prevent stone chip cracking and yellowing.
- Full Body — For owners who want complete peace of mind. Highly recommended on any Corvette above Z51 spec or in a special colour.
Camaro PPF (SS, ZL1, Z/28)
The Camaro’s wide hood and low-slung nose are prime targets for stone chips. ZL1 and Z/28 owners in particular should consider full-body protection — these are increasingly rare cars, and original paint condition significantly affects resale and collector value.
- Full Front End — Hood, bumper, fenders, mirrors, and door pillars. Protects the most exposed surfaces without the cost of a full-body wrap.
- Track Package — For Camaro owners who attend track days. Full front, rocker panels, lower rear bumper, and mirror caps. Absorbs brake dust, tyre marbles, and gravel at speed.
- Full Body — Recommended for ZL1 1LE and any Camaro in a special-order colour (Vivid Orange, Shock Yellow, etc.).
Track Day PPF Preparation
If you drive your Corvette or Camaro on track at Evraz Place, Lethbridge, or Edmonton, road film alone is not your only protection need. Track PPF packages include reinforced coverage on areas that take direct impact from tyre debris and rubber marbles:
- Full front bumper and splitter (thicker mil film)
- Rocker panels and side sills
- Lower rear bumper and diffuser area
- Mirror caps
We can also layer a ceramic coating over the PPF post-installation to reduce contamination adhesion — making post-track cleanup significantly easier.
